Join Spotlight in Kansas City as an Accounting Specialist to own accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and process improvements within a collaborative finance team.

At Spotlight, it’s our mission to craft and sustain a successful analyst relations (AR) program for our clients—and it’s the role of the Accounting Specialist to assist in that success. You will be responsible for supporting a small accounting team in daily operations, especially related to accounts receivable and bank account reconciliation, as well as other tasks/projects as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERTISE
An upbeat, fun, and engaging attitude
Exposure to journal entry accounting, accrual basis accounting, and financial statements
Familiarity with invoicing, cash collections, revenue recognition and sales tax reporting
Excellent communication skills and style
Works well and collaborates with internal accounting and finance teams, operations teams, and external clients
Detail oriented and organized while adept at managing change in a fast moving and growing environment
Comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets
Relevant experience or accounting degree
Experience with NetSuite a plus
Expected start date for this position is April 2026.
